Potty Training

I almost hesitate to write this one, for fear it will jinx us! We have been working with Kolton since this fall on potty training, and we've been through the potty chair and the pull-ups and nothing seemed to be working. I even tried him in big boy underwear the last few weekends we were at home, and he still seemed to wet himself all day long. Brandon was getting really frustrated, but I tried to stay calm...at least Kolton knew he was wet now...those Pull-ups are a joke! Then, finally on the "snow day" we had a little break through and went all day with only a few accidents!! On Saturday and Sunday he went all day going to the potty and telling us when he had to go!! The trick for us was that he had to sit on the "big potty" backwards. He has never really wanted anything to do with the potty chair, except for the first day we brought it home and he peed 3 times in it! After that..nothing! So...hopefully, we're well on our way! I'm so glad we'll be out of diapers before a baby brother or sister comes along!! I have to post some pictures of my little man in his big boy underwear!!

Snow Day...

Isn't it crazy how our outlook on snow changes after we can drive? Oh, how we used to wish for snow days so we could stay home from school and play in the snow. Now we hope and pray the trucks have been out on the roads so we can make it to work! ...unless we're snowed in! Which actually happened to us last week! There were 3 ft drifts behind my garage, so I wasn't going anywhere! ...and even if I tried, there was a huge drift at the end of our driveway. About 4:30 a pickup w/ blade came down our gravel road, and then around 6, our neighbor came and bladed out the driveway so we could make it to work the next day. Crazy!! It was way to cold to go outside and play in the snow that day, but we did make it out on Sunday. Kolton had a blast, and now wants to wear his snow boots every day!
Oh, and then Daddy decided it would be fun to get the 4-Wheeler out...and got it stuck! Guess who got to help him push it out?! ...Hint...NOT the 2-year old!!
