Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

While not quite the Charlie Brown experience, we had tons of fun today at Hunt's Orchard in Amazonia! We started w/ a hay ride, Kolton LOVED the tractors! When we got there, it was 10 min until the show, we we got some marshmallows and roasted them over the fire...fun! and yummy! Then we watched the show of John Wayne and Roy Rogers...pretty good, but not good enough to keep Kolton entertained for very long. Especially once a few little puppies came up!! After the show, we tried out the hay maze, but he was too scared to go in. Brandon did carry him through the ti-pee made of corn stalks. The Grand Finale was the pumpkin patch! He wanted all of them!! Of course, he could not lift any of them, but he sure tried!! We finally found the perfect one, and he loves his "punkin".

My 1st Royals Game!

We decided to take Kolton to a Royal's game while on vacation this week. There was so much to see and play with, it was hard for him to pay attention to the game!! It was T-shirt Tuesday, so we all got those, plus since it was Kolton's first game, he got an Official Royals Fan certificate and anniversary pin. Brandon's brother, Aaron got us tickets through his work, and they were great seats!! Only a few rows behind the dugout!! What a perfect night for weather too! Only bad thing was that it did not start until 7pm, and we did not get home until after 11pm!! Good thing I'm on vacation...I should be taking a nap!

So Sleepy!

Mom is home this week on VACATION! After lunch on Wednesday, I was cleaning up the dishes while Kolton was finishing up. Usually when I do this, he yells for me "All done!" so he can get down, but he was so quiet, I wondered what he was up to! I went over to check on him in his chair, and he was asleep!! Guess we kept him out too late last night!!

The Muffin

I have told a few of you this story already, but I haven't had time to post it to the blog. One morning I made mini muffins for breakfast, and Kolton would not eat. He just held it in his hand. I let him take it in the car, figuring he would eat it on the way into town, before daycare...but my little man had other things on his mind!! As soon as we got in the car, he was holding it out, saying "I Elly", meaning "I'll give this to Elly"...wow...he's not even 2 yet!!! I just thought it was hilarious b/c he held it all the way into town and even walked into daycare, not dropping it...or eating it!! It is Love!!
